Q. Auto Shipping Insurance - Make Sure You Are Properly Insured

A. First things first, when the auto shipping company will arrive at your pick up location, they will do a thorough search of your vehicle for any damages. This is the time for you to go over your vehicle as well with a fine comb. If there are any damages, make sure they are noted on the condition paperwork report (also know as the bill or lading) and both you and the car transport driver mush sign them.  Make sure to get a copy of all and any paperwork.

Even though you are shipping a vehicle with a professional company you should Always ask and request copies of the company insurance policy and what coverage they have. Make sure the auto shipping company is insured for theft and damage.  Next it is recommended that your contact your own insurance company and find out if it will cover your vehicle during auto shipping service. Note: Any item that is left inside your vehicle will not likely be covered by your policy of homeowners insurance.
